Leader Ayatollah Khamenei memoirs released
TEHRAN – Memoirs of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei have been published in Tehran, his office announced on Monday. Published by the Islamic Revolution Publications, “The Pains that Changed into Gains” contains his memories of imprisonment and exile during the Pahlavi period and his struggles against the regime.

Iran, Japan start collaboration on stomach cancer studies
TEHRAN- The director of International Relations Office at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences announced of starting a research project on stomach cancer in collaboration with Japan’s Kagoshima University. According to Hamid Mir-Mohammad Sadeqi, stomach cancer is quite prevalent both in Iran and Japan and the joint project is aimed at studying the disease’s latest treatment and care methods, ISNA reported on Tuesday.

Iran’s Intl. 100-Second Film Festival unveils official lineup
TEHRAN – Thirty-three movies from across the world will be competing in the 12th edition of the International 100-Second Film Festival in Tehran, the organizers announced on Tuesday. The lineup includes “Crab Story” by Filippo Rivetti from Australia, “The Big Escape” and “One Day in July” by Hermes Mangialardo and “Sushido” by Michele Boldoni, both from Italy, “Cycle” by Alex Ishida from Japan, “My Superhero” by Jose Bibian from the Netherlands and “I Am life” by Jose Alirio Rojas from Venezuela.

Iran national library CEO visits Qatar
TEHRAN – National Library and Archives of Iran (NLAI) director Ashraf Borujerdi visited the Qatar National Library, NLAI announced in a press release on Monday. She also held talks with the officials of the Qatari library and a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was also signed to expand relations between the two libraries.

Actor Majid Mozaffari named goodwill ambassador for tourism
TEHRAN – Veteran Iranian actor Majid Mozaffari has been appointed as Iran’s goodwill ambassador for tourism. The Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization officially announced the appointment on February 14, in a ceremony held on the sidelines of the 12th International Tourism Exhibition, ISNA reported.
